Jay Z *Decoded* 1st page Event

Who the f*ck has the bottom of a swimming pool turned into a page of their lyrics book!? Jay Z does!

I’m the type of guy that loves to pick up physical albums & read the credits to fins out what exactly went into the making of an album, who did what? Who produced my favourite songs? Who co-wrote? Call me a nerd or whateva so I’m quite excited about picking up this book to see Jay’s exact thought process behind certain lyrics, metaphors & punch lines.

Hope the lyrics for “D’Evils” are in there because I never worked out:

We used to fight for building blocks
Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killin’
The closest of friends when we first started
But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted
Thinkin’ back when we first learned to use rubbers
He never learned so in turn I’m kidnappin’ his baby’s mother
